Healthy Snacks

Schools play an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of children and young people.  Our school aims to develop an ethos and environment that promotes the health and wellbeing of all.  As a school with ‘Healthy School Status’, please can we remind parents to provide healthy playtime snacks for their children.  To encourage a healthier option rather than filling up on crisps, cakes, chocolate items or sweets perhaps try offering a muesli and yogurt bar, toasted crumpet or teacake, fresh fruit, low fat yogurt or fromage frais, nuts, seeds or dried fruit, cheese and crackers or oatcakes.
