Spring 1: How Will We Get There?

This transport-themed topic is taught through the use of a range of story and information texts. Children share personal experiences and explore through play how different vehicles can be used for different purposes.  

Spring 2:Traditional Tales

Much-loved traditional stories such as Little Red Riding Hood and Jack and the Beanstalk are enjoyed through their book form, in play, art and a sprinkling of magic! Children begin to learn more about the features of books such as characters and settings and are encouraged to discuss their ideas and understandings in more detail.
