Spring 1: How Will We Get There?

This transport-themed topic is taught through the use of a range of story and information texts. Children share personal experiences and explore through play how different vehicles can be used for different purposes.  

Spring 2:Traditional Tales

Much-loved traditional stories such as Little Red Riding Hood and Jack and the Beanstalk are enjoyed through their book form, in their play, through drama. All of which provided with a good sprinkling of magic! Children begin to learn more about the features of books such as characters and settings and are encouraged to discuss their ideas and understandings in more detail.
