After School Club

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB INFORMATION

At Fairway Primary School we provide an After School Club every day during term time. If you would like to register your child/ren for a place, please read all of the information below and then fill in the attached registration forms.

 

Completed registration forms should be returned to the school office; we will contact you to confirm your place OR advise that you are on the waiting list.  For those offered a place we will send out an invoice for you to settle on ParentPay.

 

Unfortunately children who have not registered will not be allowed to attend – this is for safeguarding and medical reasons; however you can apply at any time and be placed on the waiting list if we cannot accommodate your requirements.

 

If you require any additional information please do not hesitate to ask at the school office.

 

When and where is the After School Club?

After School Club runs Monday to Friday during term time from 3.05pm to 5.45pm and is located in the school hall. Children will be picked up from their classroom by After School Club staff.

 

How much does it cost?

The cost of each session is:

£5.00 per session up to 4.30pm

£8.00 per session up to 5.45pm

Please note there will be a £20 charge per child for late pick up.

 

How do I secure a place?

Any child attending Fairway Primary School is eligible for a place at the After School Club.  

Places will be offered at the schools discretion. We will require the full half term payment up front.  Please note we are unable to make any exceptions to this. 

Once a place has been identified and your child/ren have been registered, a contract has been signed, their hours of attendance agreed and their fee, for the current half term, has been paid, your child/ren may attend.

If a place is not available your child/ren’s name/s will be placed on the waiting list.

 

How do I pay?

An invoice will be issued at the end of the previous half term for the amount due for the next half term.  We request payments be made via ParentPay if possible; if paying with cash or cheque please enclose your payment in a named, sealed envelope and hand to the office staff. 

We also accept various Childcare Vouchers and Grants; please contact Karen Hardman, our school Business Manager, for further information.

A late charge of £20 per child will be applied to your account if your child/ren are collected past the agreed pick up time without prior arrangement.

Please note that non-payment of the invoice and/or late collection charge will result in your child/ren’s place being withdrawn.

 

What will my child do at After School Club?

Your child will have the opportunity to complete homework that they may have as well as taking part in a variety of activities such as board games, arts & crafts, watching films/TV, outdoor play.

 

Will my children get a snack/ drink at After School Club?

Nutritious healthy snacks and drinks are included in the price.

 

Who will be running After School Club?

The After School Club is run by members of the Fairway school team.

 

After School Club Records

A record will be kept for each child with details relating to their address, contact details, health conditions including allergies and dietary needs.  Records will be kept in respect of accidents and any behaviour issues that may arise.

 

We ask that Parents/ Carers ensure their child/ren’s personal details are updated when necessary.

 

After School Rules and Expectations

We want all children who attend After School Club to have a positive experience.  All children are expected to follow the school rules and ensure that they inform a member of staff immediately if there are any problems.

 

Please note that a child/ren’s place/s may be withdrawn if they are not following the expectations and their choices affect others experience at After School Club.
