The Year 1 team are really looking forward to seeing what learning is talking place at home. If you have any issues regarding homework, please do not hesitate to contact us via email on firstname.lastname@example.org and/or email@example.com
Your child will bring home their reading book each day for you to read at home. The expectation is that your child reads daily and that their reading record book is also filled in. This will allow us to see how they are getting on with their reading at home. Please return their reading folder each day as we listen to every child each week and change their reading books weekly.
In your child's homework book you will find the spellings to practise each week. We have a spelling test each Thursday. Your child's test will be sent home to you inside their reading packet. A copy of the spellings for this half term is found below.
In your child's homework book you will find the mathematics facts for your child to practise until they know them off by heart. A copy of the maths for this half term is found below.
In your child’s homework book you will find a grid of exciting activities linked to our topic 'Clues from the past'. We would like the children to complete at least 3 tasks over the half term. Please bring their homework books to share in class on Monday 27th September and Monday 18th October. A copy of the topic homework is found below.
